It's summer once again! The Baker children grew up so much that Tom and Kate Baker can hardly believe their eyes. Moments ago they were their kid's idols, but now they can't even walk down the street with them out of embarassment. Nora is married now to Bud McNulty and currently pregnant, Lorraine just graduated and is moving away, Charlie's a mechanic, and all the younger kids are gradually growing up themselves.
Next minute they're with you and the other they're gone, and Tom and Kate don't want to let go of their children. Tom decides that since the family is breaking apart they should all go to Lake Winnetka for one last family vacation together. This lake is also where Jimmy Murtaugh and his family calls his home. Years before Tom and Jimmy took part in a family tournament, in which Jimmy would always beat Tom, but after a while in Lake Winnetka, Tom decides to give that competition one last go, for all time's sake.
