Anthony walked out of his hut towards the sea. He sat down on the sand, feeling it fall slightly through his feet, he liked the feel off the sand inbetween his toes. Watching as one of his teachers was out giving a lesson to a young lad, looked all of 13. He brushed his hand along the sand, feeling the heat rise from it.
As he watched the lesson finish, he smiled, they young lad had done really well. He was smiling as he walked back to the school aswell, that was always a good thing. He thought about what he was going to do at the youth club that night.

Grace liked the sound of waves dancing up on the sand. It was nice and soothing, and somehow, it reminded her of her parents, and she wasn’t sure why, because the last she’d ever seen her parents was when she was two, and she never knew that they had gone to the beach, or anywhere outside of Beijing. But the aspiring doctor didn’t need a reason to love the surf, only the fact that she did love it. That she did love New Zealand, no matter how different it was from where she should have grown up. There were not more sheep than people in China, she was sure of that. But she also liked the solitude of her home just as readily as she enjoyed the sands her sandals were slapping as she walked along.
There were people surfing- there always were, and she closed her eyes for a moment to listen to the sounds of their laughing and crashing and playing. She didn’t know how to surf, and had no inclination to learn, not yet anyway, too many surfing accidents in the ER for her to attempt to enjoy the roughness of a good surfing wave. Not many people were on the beach at this time of night, not many at all, but there were a few tourists getting their vacation’s worth, and even a few locals. By this time, Grace considered herself to be a local; she had ever since she moved here.
Her black hair whipped around her face, reminding her of the biting winds the sea had in store. She wrapped her sweater tighter around her torso and continued walking head long into the breeze, not enough to push her back, but enough to cause her feet to work harder to get from one point to her destination, which currently, was nowhere. She enjoyed her flowered skirts, and was currently wearing a knee-length purple and white one that she took pleasure in wearing. Her sandals were much more comfortable than the usual heels she wore in the hospital, before she changed into scrubs. She didn’t like the scrubs, they weren’t flattering, but in the operating room, who really cared?
She saw a man on the beach, she didn’t know him, but had seen his face around a few times. Now was the time to introduce herself, she supposed. Getting to know the town was a good objective, even though she had moved here two years ago, she didn’t know many people and lacked friends. “Hello,” she called, waving. The wind took this time to blow her sweater and she dropped her hand quickly to wrap herself back up. She’d become used to the balmy climate on the beach, the wind was bitter to her flesh. “I don’t believe I know your name, I’m Grace Chen.” She said, a smile creasing her lips.

Liam watched as the sun finally set on the day, watching around the beach as people seemed to disappear as the wind started to pick up. He looked around, seeing mostly holidayers who wanted to finish their day in style, on the beach, watching the sun go down, there was no better way to finish a day than that, especially in New Zealand.
He watched as a young lady walked along the beach, her black hair swishing around in the wind, blowing infront of her face, her sweater doing the same, until she tamed it with her hands. He watched her as she walked, her skirt swishing around her legs delicately. She walked up near him, he smiled at her as she began to speak to him.
He listened intently as she introduced herself, Grace Chen, he had heard of her name before, she'd seen one of his clients after a small accident in the sea. Hello Grace, I'm Anthony, Anthony Jackson. He looked out over the sea quickly before looking back up at her. It's nice to meet you. He smiled as he watched her hair swish around her delicate face.
